Genera Research Ltd. is a clinical-stage biotechnology company founded in Croatia. Genera is focused on developing recombinant human Bone Morphogenetic Protein (BMP)-based products for use in tissue regeneration and the treatment of orthopaedic, spinal, and dental reconstructive conditions.
Osteogrow is fully developed and produced in Croatia. It is created to promote faster and more efficient healing of bone defects through the use of an autologous blood coagulum (ABC) that serves as a carrier for recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 6 (rhBMP6). By combining rhBMP6 with the blood coagulum, an autologous bone graft substitute (ABGS) is formed and implanted at the defect site. The homologous carrier is prepared immediately prior to clinical application and can be placed between bone ends.
The application of Osteogrow results in long-lasting and significantly accelerated bone regeneration, offering numerous advantages such as reduced recovery time and a quicker return to daily activities. In clinical practice, it holds particular value for percutaneous treatment of delayed unions and/or non-unions, minimally invasive spinal fusion, and accelerated healing of closed fractures.
